The Washington Nationals catcher, Tres Barrera, and first baseman, Ryan Zimmerman, both darted to the ball and Zimmerman eventually made the catch. With home plate unoccupied, Kolten instinctively tagged up and darted home to tie the game, 3-3. “I want to take my chances and be aggressive right there,” Wong said. “If it worked, it would spark the team. If not, at least they knew I was doing something with the right cause.”
