Looking to snap a five-game losing streak, the Phillies executed a perfect relay to snatch a victory from the Braves on Sunday night. With two outs in the bottom of the ninth and the scoreboard showing a 5-3 lead for Philadelphia, Atlanta’s Freddie Freeman laced a line drive into the gap in left-center. Pinch runner Adeiny Hechavarria scored, but precise relay throws from outfielder Roman Quinn and shortstop Didi Gregorius allowed catcher Andrew Knapp to tag out a sliding Dansby Swanson to end the game with a play at the plate.
