Though the Astros trailed, 5-1, they did not quit. They were able to scratch one run across in the eighth inning to set the stage for a magical ninth. The Astros went to work against Kenley Jansen with back-to-back singles to lead it off. Then Josh Reddick launched a double to drive in two, narrowing the Dodgers lead to 5-4. After a fielder’s choice produced the tying run, Alex Bregman drove in the go-ahead run. All told, the Astros produced a wild, five-run inning to take a 7-5 lead in the eventual win.
