Yoenis Cespedes

It had been 736 days since Yoenis Cespedes had stepped into the batter's box during an MLB game, but his swing showed very little rust during Friday's contest against the Braves. In what had been a pitching duel between Mets starter Jacob deGrom and Atlanta starter Mike Soroka, Yoenis broke the scoreless tie with a solo homer off Chris Martin in the seventh inning. This was also the first time in MLB history that a designated hitter had been used in a game between two National League teams.
