Justin Verlander

JUNE 12, 2007 — The 2006 AL Rookie of the Year Award winner demonstrated no-hit stuff in his rookie year, flashing his 100-mph fastball and wicked breaking pitches. In a game against Milwaukee, the 24-year-old sophomore put everything together, firing a no-hitter and reaching a career-high with 12 strikeouts. The hard-throwing right-hander was pumping upper-90s fastballs in the ninth inning. “I had way too much adrenaline, to be honest,” Justin said.
