Austin Hays

Austin had every reason to smile as he raced across the plate in the top of the 10th. In addition to being his first home run of the 2020 season, it capped off a hard fought victory for the Orioles, who improved their record to 8-7 in a 10-9 win over the Phillies. From the sixth inning onward, Baltimore scored 10 runs on 12 hits after going scoreless the previous five frames. Hays' falling line drive skipped past Roman Quinn in the outfield, allowing both he and automatic runner Andrew Velazquez to score the go-ahead runs.
