Ken Griffey Jr.

JULY 14, 1992 — In his third MLB All-Star Game, Ken Griffey Jr. was named the contest's MVP for his 3-for-3 performance in the 13-6 onslaught of the National League. In the third inning, the 23-year-old center fielder put a drive into an away pitch delivered from Greg Maddux and sent it into the left-field seats for a line-drive homer. With this blast, he joined his father, Ken Griffey Sr., as the only father and son pair to leave the yard in the MLB All-Star Game.
