For the first time in their careers, Byron Buxton and Ronald Acuña Jr. have been named the AL and NL Players of the Month. Buxton is the first Minnesota Twins player to bring home the award since Delmon Young in 2010. The 27-year-old speedster has been explosive on offense, posting a .426 batting average with eight homers, three stolen bases, 14 RBI and an OPS of 1.363 in the month of April. In Atlanta, Acuña Jr. has been an absolute sensation, as he slashed a .341 batting average with eight jacks, 18 RBI and scored 25 runs in his 24 games played in April.
