The April 17, 1976, meeting between the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs was an absolute slugfest, and Phillies third baseman Mike Schmidt was right in the middle of it. Schmidt homered four times in the 18-16 extra-innings victory – he hit a longball in the fifth, seventh and eighth innings, and then once again in the 10th inning to unlock a 15-15 tie game.
