Just one day removed from when the San Francisco Giants plated 19 runs, the Atlanta Braves one-upped them by scoring 20 in the victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Braves became the first team in MLB history to club seven homers and two grand slams in a single game. The grand slams came from the bats of Ronald Acuña Jr. in the second inning and Ehire Adrianza in the eighth inning during a pinch-hit opportunity. Ozzie Albies, Marcell Ozuna and Dansby Swanson all recorded home runs of their own and Austin Riley belted two homers in the contest.
