James Kaprielian

James Kaprielian's brilliant outing put a halt to the Oakland Athletics three game losing streak and prevented the Club from a sweep. The former number one overall prospect in Major League Baseball dealt seven scoreless innings and only surrendered two hits with four strikeouts. Kaprielian would also retire the first eight Seattle Mariners hitters to start his gem and did not allow a hit until he stepped out for the fourth inning. The 27-year-old rookie sits with a 1.53 ERA and a 2-0 record over his three starts thus far in 2021.
