Combine for doubleheader shutout for 1st time since 1976

Pittsburgh Pirates rookie Henry Davis became the first catcher in franchise history to hit a walk-off home run in his first career game. The 22-year-old went deep in the 10th inning to lift the Pirates to a 5-4 victory over the Reds on Opening Day at PNC Park. Davis, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft, delivered a clutch two-run shot off Reds reliever Alexis Diaz to secure the win. The Pirates improved to 1-0 on the season with the dramatic finish.
