Esteban Ocon

Esteban Ocon claimed a shock first victory in Formula 1 in an exciting race at the Formula 1 Magyar Nagydij 2021. The Frenchman made his Formula 1 debut in 2016 and has been a reliable, steady driver for several seasons. This was the moment he had been waiting for. After a chaotic crash at turn 1, Ocon took advantage and put himself in P2 behind Lewis Hamilton. The race was red flagged and with Hamilton pitting early after the restart, Ocon took the lead. Despite repeated attempts by Sebastian Vettel to overtake, Ocon held the lead for almost 70 laps and took the chequered flag to earn a memorable first victory.
