George Russell

George Russell claimed his first points for Williams Racing after an excellent drive at the Formula 1 Magyar Nagydij 2021. The Englishman took advantage of a chaotic start and a subsequent red flag to go from P17 to P8. With his teammate Latifi one place ahead of him, Russell put in an excellent defensive drive to hold off the likes of Max Verstappen. His efforts were rewarded with Williams Racing first double points finish since 2018 and Russell’s first points for the UK team. With Vettel being disqualified after the race, his P9 was bumped up to P8 meaning this is Russell’s best result in Formula 1.
