Just a day before Shohei Ohtani is scheduled to take the mound against the Bronx Bombers, the two-way phenom clubbed his 27th and 28th home runs to capture the sole longball lead in MLB. Ohtani left the yard in his second and third at-bats of the contest. The first homer came off of an 88-mph change-up and was belted into the right-field seats. His second blast was also pulled as the two-way phenom put a charge into a fastball and lined it just over the right-field porch. Despite his efforts at the plate, the Angels would fall to the New York Yankees, 11-5.
