Following a few internal roster moves, the Chicago White Sox were able to call-up their 2017 MLB Draft first round selection in Jake Burger. The St. Louis, Missouri, product battled through a series of early injuries to start his professional career, only to overcome them to make his League inauguration four years removed from Draft day. Burger impressed in his first game, going 2-for-4 with a run scored in the 8-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers.
