Matt Peacock

Matt Peacock debuted in the bottom of the 11th-inning with the score tied 6-6. The rookie right-hander was tasked with holding down a Colorado Rockies lineup in the hitter friendly Coors Field and delivered three innings pitched with two unearned runs allowed. When the Diamondbacks left him in the game to bat, Peacock blooped a single on the first pitch he saw to pick up his first career hit. Peacock made history as he became the first pitcher to debut in a game in extra innings, record a hit and take the winning decision since 1945.
