After Shane Bieber’s second start of the 2021 season, he now stands alone at the top of the MLB record books. The right-hander continued to remain on the same pace as his 2020 AL-Cy-Young-Award-winning campaign, as he struck out another 12 batters over his six and 1/3 innings of work. With this effort, Shane is now the first pitcher in MLB history to start multiple seasons with back-to-back starts of 12 strikeouts or more.
