Jon Lester
2-FOR-3, 2 RBI & HR SUPPORT 7 SHO IP IN CLUB'S WIN
Washington Washington Nationals
Jon Lester connected for his fourth career longball to back his seven- inning gem in the 18-1 victory over the Miami Marlins. At 37-years-and-193-days-old, the southpaw from Tacoma, Washington, became the oldest pitcher to hit a homer since Bartolo Colon on May 7, 2016. Lester's two-run blast came in the bottom of the fifth inning off of a 93-mph heater from David Hess and he sent it 419 feet with an exit velocity of 104.5 mph, per Statcast. In addition to his offensive efforts, Jon twirled seven scoreless innings and struck out seven batters.
