Lance Lynn

Lance Lynn made sure that the Chicago White Sox would be victorious in their home opener, as he became the first pitcher to throw a complete-game shutout in 2021. The right-handed hurler was lights out, racking up 11 strikeouts without issuing a walk. In fact, only two opposing players reached as far as second base. Lynn is now the third pitcher in franchise history to strike out at least 11 batters without allowing a walk. Lance’s outstanding effort paved the way for a 6-0 victory over the Kansas City Royals.
