Shohei Ohtani’s otherworldly two-way ability was on full display in the first inning in the matchup between the Angels and the Colorado Rockies. In the top of the first inning, Ohtani fired a scoreless frame with a strikeout. In the bottom of the same inning, he connected for an RBI-single, stole a base and scored a run. Shohei became the first pitcher since Luis Tiant on April 16, 1970, to record a hit, RBI and stolen base in the same game while playing in an AL ballpark. In addition, the 27-year-old phenom is the first Angels hurler to steal a base at home since Nolan Ryan in 1972.
