They did just that and acquired Kyle Schwarber from the Washington Nationals. The Red Sox are going to look to Schwarber for a source of consistent power to preserve their one and a half game lead over the red-hot Rays. The Middletown, Ohio, slugger clubbed 25 longballs, recorded 53 RBI and owned a staggering .910 OPS over his explosive first half of the 2021 season.
