With the New York Yankees making blockbuster moves and the Tampa Bay Rays getting stronger by the day, the Boston Red Sox had to acquire a big name before the MLB Trade Deadline. They did just that and acquired Kyle Schwarber from the Washington Nationals. The Red Sox are going to look to Schwarber for a source of consistent power to preserve their one and a half game lead over the red-hot Rays. The Middletown, Ohio, slugger clubbed 25 longballs, recorded 53 RBI and owned a staggering .910 OPS over his explosive first half of the 2021 season.
