The number one overall prospect in Baseball, Wander Franco, had a huge night at the plate in the Tampa Bay Rays 9-5 victory over the Boston Red Sox. Franco delivered a series of clutch RBI-knocks, including his go-ahead triple in the bottom of the sixth inning off of Nathan Eovaldi. The 20-year-old phenom struck an inside pitch and drilled it down the right-field line to give the Rays a 6-5 lead. Wander would follow up in the bottom of the eighth inning with another RBI-single to advance the lead to 7-5. Tampa Bay would not look back after this series of hits from their shortstop and have now secured the outright lead of the AL East Division with the victory.
