Nick Neidert

Nick Neidert set the tone on the mound for the Miami Marlins in their 5-4 victory over the New York Mets. The 24-year-old hurler from Atlanta, Georgia, twirled five and 2/3 innings of three-run ball and racked up five strikeouts on the way to his first career win. Neidert entered the matchup as the Marlins number nine overall prospect and looks to continue to bolster the franchise's youthful pitching staff.
