The New York Yankees called up their number six overall prospect, Luis Gil, to make his MLB debut in Tuesday night's matchup against the Baltimore Orioles. The 23-year-old flamethrower scattered just four hits over six scoreless innings and struck out six batters. Gil showed off his full arsenal of big-league caliber pitchers highlighted by his upper-90-mph fastball and wipe out slider. Luis became the first Yankees hurler to throw six-plus shutout innings in a debut since Sam Militello in 1992.
