Corbin Burns set the tone for the Milwaukee Brewers 10-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs with a historic performance on the mound. The 6-foot-3 ace scattered just four hits over eight scoreless innings, allowed no free bases and struck out 15 batters. Over the course of his gem, Burns tied an AL and NL record by fanning 10 consecutive batters from the start of inning two through the first out of the fifth inning. The only other pitchers in League history to accomplish this feat are Tom Seaver (1970) and Aaron Nola (2021). Corbin's 15 strikeouts are also the most in franchise history without issuing a single walk.
