The 24-year-old hurler from Brooklyn, New York retired the first 23 batters of the contest in a row until Harold Castro connected for a base hit after seven and 2/3 perfect innings. McKenzie would finish his outing allowing just one hit over eight scoreless innings and 11 total strikeouts.
