In the bottom of the sixth inning in the matchup between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Baltimore Orioles, Brett Phillips connected on an 85-mph slider delivered from Paul Fry. The 27-year-old lifted the pitch 393 feet off of the base of the left-center-field wall and the ball ricocheted over Orioles center fielder Cedric Mullins. The large recoil off the wall enticed Phillips to continue his aggressive stride around the bases for his first career inside-the-park homer. "I'm experiencing a lot of fun things this year, and that was definitely one of them," Phillips proclaimed.
