Eddie Murray

JUNE 7, 1998 — Eddie Murray became the sixth player to have his number retired by the Baltimore Orioles. Murray wore number 33 during his 13-year career with the Club and embodied every attribute the franchise stood for. Eddie was one of the greatest hitters to ever play in MLB, terrorizing opposing pitchers from both sides of the plate. The eight-time MLB All-Star and three-time Silver Slugger recorded 3,255 career hits, which is 14th most all time and second most for switch-hitters.
