Andrew Velazquez

Andrew Velazquez connected for his first career home run donning the legendary pinstripes of his hometown team. The Bronx, New York, native connected on a 92-mph fastball, delivered from Ralph Garza Jr., and sent it over the right-field wall for his first career longball. Since Velazquez' promotion from Triple-A, he has owned a .689 OPS over 33 at-bats with a double, triple and, most recently, this home run. The Yankees took the 7-1 victory over the Twins to extend their win streak to nine games.
