In the top of the third inning in Thursday night's matchup between the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins, Chris Sale fired his third career immaculate inning. With this effort, Sale joined Sandy Koufax as the only pitchers in MLB history to throw three such innings. Outside of this historic feat, the 6-foot-6 southpaw had an outstanding outing, firing five and 1/3 innings with eight total strikeouts in the Red Sox 12-2 victory.
