Michael Conforto

The New York Mets trailed, 3-2, to the Washington Nationals heading into the bottom of the seventh inning. With runners on first and second base, Michael Conforto entered the contest to pinch hit. The Seattle, Washington, product launched a 95-mph fastball, delivered from Mason Thompson, and sent it over the left-center field wall for a go-ahead, three-run blast. This homer marked Conforto’s first career pinch-hit longball and the Mets would go on to win, 5-3.
