Wendle, who had been 0-for-3 with a walk before this at-bat, drove a 1-2 pitch from Rangers reliever Ian Kennedy into right field for the go-ahead RBI. The hit extended Tampa Bay's lead to 4-2 in a game they would eventually win 7-3.
