Seth Beer

After spending three seasons in the Minor Leagues, Seth Beer made his MLB debut in Friday night's matchup between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Seattle Mariners. The 24-year-old from Maryville, Illinois, got a pinch-hit opportunity in the top of the eighth inning against flame thrower Diego Castillo. Beer connected on a 95-mph sinker and sent it over the right-field wall for a solo blast. With this homer, Seth became the first Diamondbacks player to hit a home run in their first big-league at-bat since John Hester in 2009.
