In the top of the second inning in the AL East Division matchup between the New York Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles, Cedric Mullins made arguably the catch of the 2021 MLB season. With a runner on first base, Gary Sánchez scorched a pitch, delivered from John Means, and sent it to deep center field for what appeared to be a two-run blast. Mullins had other plans, as he scaled the center-field wall, leaped up and made a jaw-dropping snag to rob the home run.
