Nestor Cortes Jr.・Jordan Montgomery

Yankees history has been made with Nestor Cortes Jr. and Jordan Montgomery’s consecutive 11+ strikeout starts this Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. Cortes Jr.’s 11 strikeout performance marked a new career-high for the left-handed Yankees hurler. His performance fueled the Yankees 4-3 win over the Orioles on Wednesday. Montgomery’s staggering 12 strikeout game yesterday marked a career-high for him as well, although it didn’t produce a win.
