Lewin Díaz delivered a clutch two-run single in the bottom of the 8th inning to lift the Marlins past the Braves, 5-4, on 6/29. The go-ahead hit came off Atlanta reliever Tyler Matzek, capping a wild comeback after Miami trailed by three runs in the 7th. Díaz, who had entered the game as a pinch-runner in the 7th, stayed in to bat in the 8th and drove in the tying and go-ahead runs on a sharp single to left field. The Marlins improved to 35-35 with the win, while the Braves fell to 42-30.
