In game two of the doubleheader between the Kansas City Royals and the Cleveland Indians, Anthony Gose made his first MLB appearance on the mound since his long and difficult transition from the outfield. The 31-year-old was last seen manning the outfield for the Detroit Tigers on May 15, 2016, and now has altered his skill set to become a full-time pitcher. Gose, a southpaw, touched 100 mph in his one and 2/3 innings of work and struck out one batter. "This," Gose said, "was a lot more special to me than debuting as a hitter."
