In the bottom of the eighth inning in Tuesday night’s contest between the Angel and the Houston Astros, Shohei Ohtani clubbed his 45th home run of the season. The two-way phenom connected on a 94-mph fastball, delivered from Cristian Javier, and sent it well into the right-field seats for a solo homer. With this blast, Ohtani tied Mike Trout for the second most home runs in a single season in franchise history. Trout accomplished this feat on September 5, 2019.
