OHTANI TIES TROUT FOR 2ND MOST HRs IN A SINGLE SEASON IN CLUB HISTORY (45)

Shohei Ohtani / Mike Trout - 2021 MLB TOPPS NOW® Card 841 - PR: 5195

In the bottom of the eighth inning in Tuesday night’s contest between the Angel and the Houston Astros, Shohei Ohtani clubbed his 45th home run of the season. The two-way phenom connected on a 94-mph fastball, delivered from Cristian Javier, and sent it well into the right-field seats for a solo homer. With this blast, Ohtani tied Mike Trout for the second most home runs in a single season in franchise history. Trout accomplished this feat on September 5, 2019.
