After the top of the third inning, the Philadelphia Phillies were faced with a 6-0 deficit against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The scrappy bunch responded with a rally in the bottom of the frame and cut the lead down to one run. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Ronald Torreyes launched a go-ahead, three-run blast to give the Phillies an 8-6 advantage. J.T. Realmuto would follow up in the bottom of the seventh inning with a two-run homer of his own. Philadelphia would go on to win, 12-6, and become the first team in the modern era (since 1901) to win by six or more runs after trailing by six or more runs twice in the same season.
