The Niazo, Dominican Republic, product went on to connect for his first career longball in the bottom of the ninth inning. Cruz torched an 80-mph change up, delivered from Mychal Givens, and sent it 408 feet over the right-field wall with an exit velocity of 103.8 mph for a two-run homer, per Statcast.
