Leads off 1996 season with a bang
Frank Thomas - 2022 MLB TOPPS NOW® Turn Back The Clock - Card 1 - PR: 580
On Opening Day of the 1996 MLB season, Frank Thomas went long in his first at-bat, and made Baseball history. The Columbus, Georgia, native connected with a Randy Johnson fastball and sent that ball flying over the right-field wall, the first ever regular-season home run to be hit in the month of March. Fresh off a 40-home-run season, Thomas made sure to start his next season with an electric display of power hitting.
