Clayton Kershaw

Clayton Kershaw’s 2013 Opening Day performance was spectacular, both on the mound and at the plate. The Dallas, Texas, native gave up only four hits in his nine-inning stint on the mound, but more surprisingly, Kershaw hit his first career home run, and a pivotal one at that. His long ball broke a scoreless eighth-inning tie, pushing his Dodgers on to beat the San Francisco Giants, 4-0.
