After the Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Miami Marlins, the Padres fans at Petco Park erupted into applause, as that contest's decision was all the Padres needed to secure their victory. Notably, it was the first full-season clinch for the Padres since 2006 and the first they were able to celebrate at home since 2005.
