After stealing his 30th base of the 2022 Major League Baseball season in last night’s bout between the Kansas City Royals and Cleveland Guardians, Bobby Witt Jr. became just the fifth player in MLB history to notch 30 stolen bases and 20 home runs in his rookie season. Remarkably, he’s the first player to do so since Mike Trout’s debut season in 2011. After stealing the bag, Witt Jr. contributed to his Club’s 5-2 victory on the night by coming around to score.
