After pitching the 162nd inning of his season in yesterday’s meeting between the Angels and the Oakland Athletics, Ohtani qualified for League leaders for a pitcher. Combined with his leaderboard-qualifying 502-plus plate appearances, this made Ohtani the first player in the World Series era to be qualified as both a pitcher and a batter on the year-end leaderboards.
