In last night’s Game 5 of the ALDS, Giancarlo Stanton played the hero, smashing a three-run blast that would be all the New York Yankees needed to punch their ticket to the Club’s first ALCS in three years. In just the first inning, Stanton connected on a pitch from Cleveland Guardians starter Aaron Civale, the 11th Postseason home run in his career. In 23 career Postseason contests, that figure is tied for most in MLB history with Carlos Beltran.
