In the bottom of the fifth inning, down by just a run, Juan Soto tucked a pitch from Aaron Nola into deep right field, scoring the game-tying run and winding up on second base. This sparked a five-run fifth inning and was absolutely crucial to turning the tide of the game, as the Padres would go on to win the contest, 8-5.
