On the heels of an outfield miscue that allowed Houston Astros catcher Christian Vázquez to reach first base in the top of the second inning, outfielder Chas McCormick hammered a two-run blast to give his Club the early lead. The opposite-field homer was McCormick’s second of the ALCS, and now has his team sitting just one game away from clinching a spot in the 2022 World Series.
