J.T. Realmuto

The main storyline of Game 1 was undoubtedly Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto's incredible night at the plate. Playing in his first career World Series contest, the 31-year-old helped tie the game in the fifth inning with a two-run double, capping a comeback that erased an early 5-0 Houston Astros lead. Still tied 5-5 in the top of the 10th, Realmuto factored in once again with a lead-off solo home run, providing the go-ahead run the Phillies needed to win this exciting series-opener.
